From the moment I settled in my Taxi and rode under the palm trees on my way north, from the advice of an Aussie who asked to split the fare, I was enamored.
In Goa you have to organize what time to go swimming in bath temperature water, what time to take a nap, and which beach hut to listen to Goa Psyche Trance Rave. This demanding schedule does not lead to a ravenous appetite. Luckily Goa provides endless tropical fruit and coconuts delivered on the beach.
Eventually you will get hungry, if you happen to be in Arambol, Double Dutch provides numerous delicacies. The Buddha Bar is a divine treat. They also prepare Indonesian Cuisine.
Bangalore
I spent fleeting moments between flying from Goa and catching a train to Pondicherry in Bangalore and I will be back. Rambling around the train station after taking an air conditioned bus from the airport, I must write here that this bus ride from the airport really turned me on to Bangalore, it was functional, great public transportation......I saw some commotion on a side street.
This commotion lead me to my first interaction with chat. I adore chat.
I was not brave enough to try the Masala Pepsi, I however did try the Dhal Puri and Bel Puri.
The Dhal Puri was a composition involving small poofs of wheat that are cracked opened, Dhal is poured over, a layer of carrots added, then sweet yogurt, finished with some deep friend and salty noodles. I kept thinking while I was eating this beauty, "is it the contrast of the spicy Dhal with the natural sweet yogurt or is this yogurt just the sweetest yogurt I have ever came across"? Whichever it is I love that Yogurt.
